Double speed internet in Chittagong

 Banglalink has brought double speed internet for the customers of the port city of Chittagong. This private mobile operator has started using the new spectrum of 2.3 GHz band in Chittagong through Time Division Duplex (TDD) technology.

On Sunday, October 16, in a press conference organized in Chittagong, the Chief Executive Officer of Vion, the owner of Banglalink, Kan Terzioglu gave this information.

On the occasion, Kan Terzioglu said, We have been able to achieve double digit growth in Bangladesh. To maintain this trend of growth, a huge amount of investment is being made in the network of Chittagong region.

Eric Aus, Chief Executive Officer of Banglalink said, Chittagong has received special importance in our expansion plan due to its national importance as a commercial center. Both general consumers and businesses in this segment will benefit from our extended network coverage.

Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission Chairman Shyam Sundar Shikder has assured all kinds of cooperation for the continuous development of Banglalink.

Banglalink has set up more than 3200 beige transceiver stations in the last nine months to deliver high-quality 4G network to all levels of the country. In addition, Banglalink has launched the next generation 4G using the new wave of 2.3 GHz band and Time Division Duplex (TDD) technology.

The event was attended by Chittagong City Mayor Md. Rezaul Karim Chowdhury, Banglalink Chief Commercial Officer Upang Dutta and Chief Corporate and Regulatory Affairs Officer Taimur Rahman.
